HTML acronym tag

Note: The <acronym tag is no longer supported in HTML 5. Use <abbr> tag instead of this tag.

HTML acronym tag is used to show acronyms or abbreviations in the web pages. It was supported till HTML 4 and depreciated in HTML 5.

In HTML 5, use the <abbr> to make abbreviated text.

<abbr title="International Cricket Council">ICC</abbr> promotes the global game.

1	<abbr title="International Cricket Council">ICC</abbr> promotes the global game.
